I daily ST-43 and they squeak as expected.
Need a good stop before they're at temperature.

ST-47 would suck on the street.

I was there also, ran DTC70F 60R
Used titanium shims coated with ceramic brake lube, for extra protection, worked great, even though the temperature was in the low 90s

Pad experience needed

Well I do have questions for the experienced, I’m needing a new set of pads on my ‘17 1LE, I saw Matt mention the Raybestos. I once used a set on my racecar and they were phenomenal! However, due to the dust issue on OEM pads, I’m looking for a set that I can use on the street also without worrying about fade on track. (I know it’s a tall order). I’m happy with the track manners of OE pads actually and aren’t an issue on the street, just dust I’m tired of constantly cleaning up. I know hawk HPS+ Probably isn’t up to track work. (I smoked a new set once in short order) any feedback on a good all rounder w/o immense dust. Trade off is question, confidence for track, ability on street w/o squealing to put heat in.
BTW, using OE Goodyears

Well, I did what I thought I’d have to do and just get a separate street & track pads... Just can’t go cheap like I was hoping to... I got a set of Hawk ceramics for the street, hopefully will take care of the nasty dusting issue with adequate street performance. Haven’t decided on the Hawk DTC60’s or the Raybestos. Any thoughts from the group on mixing manufacturers pads on same rotors? I’m used to one type on the racecar not switching around for a mixed street and occasional track time...
Input would be appreciated.

Haw states specifically you can use any of their compounds on the same rotor without bedding EXCEPT ceramic.

I was running the HPS5 and DTC60 combo for a while. But honestly, now I stay with the OEM pad. With fresh fluid, I haven't faded a pad yet.

About 1mm per day, so about 5 days to 50% wear and from there about a day or two venue/event depending. So, if after 5 days i am at 50% and have a 3 day event coming up, i like to swap them beforehand. If a single day, or two: i keep them.
I get most stuff from Cargurus and the more i buy the better discounts they offer

Thanks for the pad wear estimates TrackClub!! Very helpful for planning how to get the most out of your pads while still remaining safe.

My pleasure! Basically, until they reach 50% all is peachy. After that one needs to pay attention - as the wear accelerates.
Regardless, i always check tires, rotors, pads and under the car for leaks after EACH run. Plus oil level and lug nuts torque at lunch after cool down. It is a good habit to develop and stick to.
Cheers!
