GM Performance Camaro
So GM Performance has decided to do some installs and testing of the performance products they have out. All the testing is to be done on a 2018 1ss Camaro that belongs to a guy named Daren Poole Adams. He is a super awesome guy and has many ties with GM. He has a few different Copo Camaros, body in whites, etc... and he is also a good friend of ours.
So guess where this car is hitting the rollers at? Tick Performance!!! Last edited by Matt@Tick; 09-25-2018 at 02:38 PM. |

For now, they are doing exhaust parts, a cold air kit, suspension, and brake parts. There may be some other stuff that I haven't been told about.
I have been told that they will be making a rear drag brake kit for them also. I don't know that to be true so don't hold me to it, but that is what I was told. |

So are the exhaust/intake/suspension/brake parts somehow different from the ones that Chevrolet Performance already offers?

When do you think they'll launch some of this stuff?

The only thing I would be interested in would be MRC compatable stiffer springs for the 1LE and power mild/mid (non charger) adders.

I am told that the goal was to show that the car can be purchased, these parts installed, and you can have a fun track car that doesn't cost a ton of money and car be driven on the street "legally". It seems GM is wanting to attract more of the aftermarket performance crowd, so they want to showcase a car for themselves. I will know more about what products and what mods they are doing in what order in the next few weeks. |

I just feel like they've already tested these products... since they are all out. Everything you mentioned is in the catalog.
So... what's new here? |

I don't know that they will be coming with anything new to what they already offer. But they tell me that the plan is to get interest from people and they get more stuff rolling. I think the Mustang sales have really hit a nerve with these guys.

The magic question, Warranty?
These are GM approved mods to put on our cars for performance gains, whether horsepower or some other category. Will this have any effect on our manufactures warranty? I've heard yes, no or it shortens the life of the warranty. Maybe you can get a definitive answer for us(me). |

To me it sounds more like a push for advertisement than actual specs. |
