Opti-Seal is a great product that has been forgotten with the influx of new coatings and sealants.

Does Carpro make any soaps/wax strippers?

Eraser is very different than IPA. IPA dissolves wax, Eraser lifts it off the surface and encapsulates it so it can be wiped away. You can also leave Eraser on the surface for a much longer time than IPA as well, IPA will evaporate quickly. IPA leaves some residue on the surface (not much though), Eraser leaves none.

An easy way to remove wax is to spray the panel with APC when doing a normal 2 bucket wash. Do not allow it to dry, or use on a hot surface or in direct sunlight. Rinse well.

Before applying your new wax or sealant, check the panel with a baggie to determine if claying is needed. Wipe panel down with IPA or Eraser prior to adding your protection. This will ensure the proper bond to the paint.

This is why you hear one person claiming their protection product lasted only 2 weeks...…. and another claims 4-6 months from the same product. One was prepped properly and one wasn't.

It's like sticking two pieces of tape on a surface, and one area is completely clean, and the other has dirt on it. Which piece will stick the longest?

Jescar Power lock is a great sealant. I loved how easy it was to put on and take off. Leaves the car looking really glossy. I topped it with collinite 845. Pretty sure in about a couple of months im going to do it again but not with the 845. I think the Power lock looks great just as it is.

Forget about Dawn detergent. Use Chemical Guys CLEAN SLATE. Then Carpro Essence. Then Carpro reload. I do this twice a year on a very lightly driven car. In between I will rinse it every couple of drives and spray on Ultima waterless wash diluted to detail spray strength. Dry with MF towel and you are done!

I have use reload for a year or two and I'm done with it. Too streaky, tricky to put on, a much better alternative is the blackfire SiO2 spray. It applies easier, it comes off easier, and there is absolutely no streaking. Works well with essence too.

I know Eraser, didn't think they had a soap that would strip, just was curious.

I never get streaking with Reload, occasionally from the Reload/Echo QD, I try to mix it on the lighter side than most people do.

I need to review some paper and see what this dealer put on my car at delivery, some kind of sealant that I'm sure I overpaid for.

I’m afraid to wash with dawn on my car. I’ll use the other car as a test subject before I do it on the Camaro. I thought about getting clean slate.

Not sure what I’ve been doing right but I’ve never had streaking with Reload.
