Enjoying her new SS...

Wife is enjoying her new SS L99 Automatic!
We have been admiring the new Camaro since its rebirth and now after several years of serious health issues, she has one!
This car has it all - looks, power, handling, braking.....well almost all.....no CD player.

It has am/fm and XM. Free trial for XM, extra cost later.

After checking into this there is "pandora"? and the other but it takes "smartphones" to use.
We don't use smartphones so those are out.

Any recommendations? She loves the car.

Bob

Congrats and Welcome to C5, there will be another guy by to formally Welcome you with a big Fridge and about a food fight that could break out

Anyway, if you haven't discovered the beauty of blue-tooth(which I highly recommend), you won't miss the CD's. Another way to listen to your favorite music is to put them on USB drive and plug it into the USB port. Sweeeeeet!

Put your CD's into your computer and transfer them over to a USB flash drive. It can store like 2,000+ songs. After that's all done... the flash drive goes into the center console in the camaro. It's between the two front seats.

I think you can also plugin your iPod as well, although I just connect my iPhone via Bluetooth and go from there. Much easier than handling CDs as you can just have all your music there all the time. You'll start seeing less and less CDs over the next few years as it is cheaper to produce MP3s than press a CD.

Welcome and congrats on the car, she's a beauty. Also ipod or thumb drive is the way to go.

I loaded up 185 songs on a flash drive right before I bought my car. Put it in at the dealership, haven't removed it yet. Kind of rotate between that and the radio. A hint, they have these low profile ones at Best Buy and other places that barely sticks out at all, like a quarter of an inch, you won't even know it's there.

Pretty sure this is the one I have.
