That's a bunch of crap. You should have refused to pay them a dime until they put the car back together. They took it apart they should put it back together.

Was the pulley actually modified for the supercharger or was that bullshit?

I didn't pay them a dime. I did, however, have to buy the new pulley and belt that Blu 808 needed to try to fix the problem. I didn't really want that Chevy dealer working on the car anyway. The fact that they had to take to take the pulley off to figure out that it was modified during the supercharger install did not fill me with confidence.

Problem still exists though and I don't know what to do. Blu 808 is going to try to talk to Chevy so hopefully something will come of that.

Check the pulley alignment...if it's off. it's probably the holes in the AC compressor not in the right place or the pulleys not installed properly.

The crank pulley torques to an astronomical amount...so it's probably not that one.

It's a 1 time use stretch to fit belt...cut it off to remove it, and the new one must be installed the right way. If anyone is re-using it, that'll make it not work right. Once it walks slightly off after install (especially if it's not installed right and pulled on too far) it'll never be right until you replace it again.

I've had mine replaced twice. It's going in for the third time for the same problem as soon as the snow melts.

Just around when my warranty runs out. Not happy.

Another belt bites the dust. Mine has been squeeling the last few days amd is getting louder. Glad I saw this thread. Will check belt alignment first.

I was just going to change it myself since I have headers/tune, but sounds like most of you have more mods than that and were still able to get replaced under warranty.

My A/C belt was walking/creeping up on the crank pulley as well. But it was doing it toward the back of the pulley. It even totally came off one time. I got a new gates belt and it held perfect. But putting on a new belt every so many miles is not the solution. It is an alignment issue.

These belts are used on a lot of cars, so I don't think it is a design flaw, but a tooling/quality control issue at the factory when the install all the accessories and brackets on the engine. Sometimes things get out of spec. and when that happens, all the close clearance/tolerances are affected.

While the brackets, AC and such have no visible adjustments, I would find out the recommended factory torque specs are and go thru and make sure every things is set right. Of course if it's under warranty, the service department should know and do all this for you. New belt included.

If I'm not mistaken, the crank pulley is sunk onto the snout of the crank to a very specific depth. This could be incorrect from the factory and cause an alignment issue.

Mine was running up onto the front side of pulley. Just fixed it myself, hate bringing it in for such a minor issue. I just don't trust them.
