Ok so everyone is suggesting tune but I think the OP wants to not void his warranty which will most definitely void that warranty
On the other side GM has a performance program I believe where they will install a supercharger and cover your car under warranty.

Dont listen, you dont need a s/c. Suspension mods, headers, cai, tires. You can do it.

HP isn't everything, your starting with a much higher amount of torque. So unless he is putting down the same rwtq as he is rwhp you could actually have a few rwhp less due to starting with a 100tq advantage from the factory.
Also what about gears? Is he still running the factory 3.27? You have 3.45 from the factory, also an advantage to you. Just a few things to consider...

Of course I have to root for the turbo V6....(kidding)
but just be glad its a 2010 V6 with the LLT engine. Although 412rwhp is a bit on the low side, the LLTs do "max out" a bit earlier on stock components than the 2012 V6s do b/c of the limited tuning options for the LLT, and the fact that is supplies a bit less fuel. LFXs turbos are churning out well north of 450rwhp and about that same amount of TQ fairly safely on stock internals. Over 500rwhp is probably getting a bit hairy. Gretchen's TT LFX build went into the 600rwhp range before it finally blew the rods. Now he is rebuilding it with forged internals and it will be a monster.

If you're worried about the warranty, you're always going to be at a disadvantage. Your options are limited.
As for getting 400+ HP to the wheels, good luck. Even with full bolt-ons, I was only in the 350's. That seemed a little lower than the norm, which is maybe 360-370. I would say that you'd either need to do a cam, or go forced induction. Your other option, that'll probably cost a lot less, is nitrous. I have a feeling that would not help your warranty situation, though.

For this particular race/situation, If he has practice, headers, cai, tires, and some suspension mods he can take him, still going to be close obviously. I said in my earlier post, if he wants 400 rwhp, he needs a cam, period. |
