Nitrous setup installed - but a few questions.

Relatively new to the performance scene as well as nitrous - I am 1 7/8" headers, e85, ss4 cam, 3800 stall, forged rods/pistons, ported heads, and ported MSD/95mm TB... I currently have a 15lb bottle, Bottle Warmer, TPS RPM Window Switch, and Purge valve kit.. I am looking to add a dedicated fuel system… and probably a console switch panel… i’ll be able to turn the bottle warmer on and arm it from the panel.. I'll configure my window switch to only actually spray at certain RPMs in a certain gear.. once I get the dedicated fuel system, I can run c85 to keep my e85 percentage consistent to spray on my nitrous tune.. can anybody explain to me what would the progressive controller do for me that my current setup will not? and I also see people mentioning an MSD hardline plate system.. what benefit would that give me over my current setup which directly sprays into the CAI? Trying to determine if my current setup is safe enough, or what else I should invest into maximize safety. Timing retard? Progressive controller? etc.

A progressive controller will allow you to slowly ramp up the full shot of nitrous so it doesnt shock the engine and drivetrain. My tuner recommended i use a progressive controller if i was going to spray a anything bigger than a 125 to help the afr transition and not shock the system. The hardline system uses a plate at the opening of the tb which ends up atomizing and distributing the nitrous and fuel much better than a single nozzle would. I also bought the lingenfelter lnc-2014 rpm limiter/timing retard box, which will allow me to not need a dedicated nitrous tune with timing already pulled during the rpm window i plan on spraying on. the timing box gets the trigger signal from my nitrous controller and starts to pull timing only when the nitrous is activated and spraying. This helps keep the car dialed in and running max timing while NA and not need to swap out tunes when wanting to spray.

Check out my other thread on my personal nitrous install. I have a series of videos linked that i put together doing the whole install along with the testing of the various solenoids, controller set up, fuel system pressure set up and fuel pressure safety switch.

I just filled up my 15lb bottle and plan on doing some testing starting at a 50 and eventually settling at a 100-150 shot.
