I was gonna mention that car. Seems like a great choice. They look really awesome, it would just have to be like a $10k discount to make it right IMO.

Am I wrong, or don't you have to spin the Mustang motors way up the rpm range for them to be fun? I've only driven the GT, but that was how it seemed to me.

Yes. They need to spin because they make their HP in the upper RPM ranges. Which is why many people opt for a PD blower. Because it helps out more in the lower RPM ranges. |

C63 felt oddly similar to the camaro. They were pretty much the same acceleration wise, and handlig at 5/10th. |

As I said, it was the GT and not the fancier 350. It was nice enough (although I thought the dash looked cheesy) but the immediate power wasn't there. If I spun it way up, it had good power, but my personal thinking was that there's no way I could keep the engine up in "the fun zone" during daily driving, and to do so would bring great risk to my license. The Camaro SS, on the other hand, had great low end power, so was more fun to drive at less than felony speeding speeds. Driving that GT convinced me that the Camaro was for me. Of course this has almost nothing to do with the thread topic, so my apologies.

Yep, and it will be priced out for me. Besides, if I'm going to spend $80k, I'd just spend another $15k and get me a GTR so. But, I am liking what I'm seeing from Dodge.

I havent read this thread so not sure where you ended up but wanted to throw in my 2c..
Dude.. I traded in my GT350 on the ZL1.. I was terrified of that thing going pop at any second. Ford have replaced a ton of Voodoo motors and I havent even mentioned the bodywork. If I were to ever get a Mustang again, it's be a Coyote.

Another one bites the dust.
This is his second blown motor. Skip to about 9:50 to see the on track video. Nothing dramatic, it just let go. |
