Recently bought a ZL1 1LE love it but..

I am just curious do you guys think it's too rough for being a daily driver? When I first got it the dealer had the tires inflated to 50 PSI so it was literally like riding on rocks. I fixed it to 32PSI and after some time the suspension seems to have broken in and softened but it definitely still beats you up a bit.

I am coming from a hellcat which compared to this rode like a cadillac but of course didn't have the handling.

How many here daily drive their 1LE? Do you find it to be manageable?

I have a new ZL1LE. It only has 100 miles on it and you are right, it is a bit of a stiff ride, but I knew that going in. However, I don't daily my car, it's more of a fun toy. I'm coming from a 17 ZL1 and the ride is much different for sure. I think if I were going to daily it, I would suggest the regular ZL1 with Magnetic ride control, which is very comfortable, particularly in Tour Mode. I do know people who daily their ZL1LE and don't seem to mind. I guess in the end, it will be a personal choice

Get street tires ASAP and save the goodyears for a track day. I got a set of RE11s for the street and the ride and grip immediately got better on the street. I actually have traction all through second and the top of 1st. The bumps don't seem as hard either.

I’m coming from a ‘63 C10 with 3” drop springs cut for an additional 2 inches ... so to be honest my 1LE rides like a Cadillac in comparison.

All jokes aside it doesn’t bother me. I don’t daily drive it though, it’s simply a ‘toy’ I take out on occasion. It’s a little more stiff than my Viper, and waaaayyy more stiff than my Hyundai which feels like an ocean liner in comparison.

I could see where you might get sick of the ride over time though, it’s always fun for the first year or so until the newness wears off and the little annoying things become way more noticeable.

I don’t daily mine. I certainly could handle it but wouldn’t be my first choice. It’s a toy and driven as such.

I daily a 2017 2500 gmc duramax and I would much rather daily my zl1 1le if it was sunny and no salt or water on roads but I live in NH so I only drive it between may and October when the roads are dry.

OP I think you can get used to it. But what surprises me is the standard ZL1 in touring, while still a tiny bit stiff on an uneven surface, rides comfortably. What also surprises me is how comfortable the Recaros are. Maybe even more so than the standard seats were in my 2SS. My A10 ZL1 is an all day car. Amazing considering it's supercar track prowess. Of course not quite at the world class ZL1 1LE level.

I don't know if all of the ZL1 1LE buyers ran into this, but while ZL1 shopping I found out most dealers will not let you drive a ZL1. So how would you know the ride is was track oriented harsh unless you spent some time on here getting owners reactions? Most dealers don't know what they are selling and of course don't want to discourage a sale in progress. And I guess finding one in stock may be a problem. I found a few. One discounted even.

I daily drive mine. It's bouncy, but not harsh. Switching out to Michelin 4S tires made a big difference too.

I daily a leveled Duramax, I guarantee it's harsher than a ZL1 1LE.

You're saying your Hellcat drove like a Caddilac and the 1LE doesn't? The ride is amazing, it's rough because its a track car.

Sounds like you got the wrong car buddy if your looking for a "Cadillac ride" in a track beast.
