Question Spilled Coffee...

Wow!!!

This morning I placed my coffee on top of the center console because i had to put some other work stuff in the back and of course i forgot about coffee and went in to get inside the driver side and BAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Coffee spilled all over the passenger seat.....just so happens i had a bag full of clothes we were going to donate and i used them to wipe and suck up any coffee i could. What a morning!!!!!

I aired it out a bit on the way to work with windows down and left the windows cracked while here at work.

What can i use to get the coffee smell and im thinking stains might show up as well?

thx

Have a good detailer shampoo the seat.

Hopefully there was no milk in it. Your car might be pretty ripe this afternoon after baking in the sun.

You will soon get flamed for drinking in your car.

There are foaming fabric stain cleaners out there. I’ve used them in the past and they work well. I think I used a pet stain/odor remover once on a rental car I spilled coffee and it got it all out.

Don't forget to check if any spilled to the floor. I had a car that had food spilled in it before and after multiple seat shampoos the smell still came back on hot days. I finally pulled the seats and the carpet and found that a little bit had made its way into the carpet padding and that's where the smell kept renewing from.

Did you take a sip before you placed it on the console?
If so, did you take a big sip or a normal sip?

Was there a top on coffee? If so, who put the top on the coffee?

Do you normally place things on the center console? Is that a standard console, or a modified console?

Susan, hold all my calls... we gonna run some tests on that top and that console!

I used his method for my 2000 Ford Explorer seats and WOW.. massive difference. Bought the extractor thing and it worked amazing.

At least you didn't spill raw crustacean fluids in your car, lmao! Ozium should work well for any lingering coffee smell

I don't flame them for that, but spilling coffee is rather unfortunate. One more reason for me to stick with tea.

There was a guy who told me that he decided to eat Miso soup in his car and spilled a good chunk of it. Took him months to clean it out completely and he said the smell is absolutely horrendous (rotten beans, essentially). He never did it again in the car.

Sent from toaster or something

lolololololololol. Hilarious!!!

big sip.
no top. house cup.
I DO NOT ever place things on my unmodified center console....just so happens today was the first time and well....it happened.

I used a small amount of pumpkin spice creamer.

Some did get on the carpet.

Its mostly dried now and i sprayed it with lysol for now. I will be either getting a detailer or some of the options yall posted here....

Dam it!!!!!

ZL1 time then....on well. hahahha

Just get an interior cleaner.... foaming one and wipe down. Make sure to get carpets too if got wet.... vacuum after it dries.

If you have the cloth interior and it is still stained or smells get it extracted by a pro or look into a spot cleaner.... great to have around house to and to extract stairs.
