I see first hand that the automatic Mustang GT and any of the SRT8s run just as fast as their manual counterparts at the drag strip. I'm sure Allpar might tell you differently! And all of the competition can click off a high 12 second run with ease. The L99 WILL NOT break into the 12s without mods! I have no idea why you keep bringing up the GT500? Or why you keep trying to say Horsepower has no place in a conversation about drag racing. Horsepower is incredibly important to drag racers. YES these are street cars but they are being used for DRAG RACING! Between your wiki & Allpar factoids my head hurts just from reading all of your nonsense!
HUH?? who told you a stock L99 can't hit 12s? It is all on the driver. I ran a 13.14 100% stock 300miles on the clock in Texas heat wish i would of ran in these temps and I would of ran a 12.80 100% bone stock.

Yeah your right I didn't, I hit an 11.91 with CAI, headers, and a pulley and ranking the 5th fastest bolt-on L99 on the fast list.

I see what your saying but what I see at the track almost everytime the ones making the most power are being out ran by less powerful cars. Why? Weight play the biggest role in drag racing.

It's superior to all cars on the market currently IMO, in that it can accomplish 11's while total of less then $10k spent on buying the car itself and modifying it..... N/A.

Cobra's aren't nice inside neither are the Camaros, both are equally luxurious... no reason to spend more other than that it's a Ford. 5.0's are just overpriced for the performance when you look at the cobras and ls1 f bodies.
Well then you're an idiot. You can just go get a $3,000 bike and run 11s at the end of the day. For the price Chevy is no competition, you have to look at 8k-10k Camaros and Firebirds and even then you can't match the performance in a straight line. It's superior to all cars on the market currently IMO, in that it can accomplish 9's while total of less then $5k spent on buying the bike itself and modifying it..... N/A.

Honda's aren't nice inside neither are the Camaros, both are equally luxurious... no reason to spend more other than that it's a Chevy. LS1's are just overpriced for the performance when you look at the CBRs and GSX-Rs

God damn you're diluted. If I wanted to buy an old piece of shit, outdated, out of warranty, ugly as sin car, I'd go back to owning an LS1 Fbody I had 13 years ago. Welcome to 1999, you have a 12 second car. Congratulations.

Youre an idiot, a bike is not a car.

SS and WS6's in good condition are very nice cars, takes a car guy to appreciate them.

I'm quite a car guy, I don't need to appreciate an outdated, bloated, ugly 10 year old car to be considered a car guy, at least not by some dudebro on the internet that just discovered v8s a month ago. You posed the same ricer argument that real life trolls have been posing for years. Why would you buy a $30k 5.0 or 5th gen SS when you can run 12s in a $5,000 LS1? Because you want a new, reliable, more modern vehicle. I drive my car on long trips all the time. I like having nice, new seats. I like having a/c. I like having the piece of mind that my new car won't leave me stranded on my way to Monterey. I like knowing I can take it to a track day and pull 1+G in a turn and drive it back home with no issues. I don't want to buy an LS1 fbody for the same reason I don't go out and buy a 90 LX notch for $600 and put $2000 into it to run 12s. I don't want to. I don't care for it. I had a 4th gen, I was impressed with it then because I was 17, but they do absolutely nothing for me. They haven't in about 11 years, since Chevy killed them. I tracked most of the cars I've owned and I tracked ALL of the bikes I've owned except for my 1199, which will be hitting the track as soon as they open the tracks up around here. Car guy? lol get out of here.

I bought mine as a toy, I have the G as a daily driver. I said toy..... A dragstrip car that is comfortable, relatively reliable, a car that doesn't look like a pos(finding a stock fox under 10k in perfect condition is rare).

Like I said no car on the market, that looks decent at least, can match the bang for your buck performance of an f body.

You are the type that thinks this is a pos

But at the same time think this is the greatest thing on earth. It's entertaining

^ Nice of you to assume that I think that Ford is the greatest thing on earth. I don't. That thing is hideous. There is a reason why I never looked at a Mustang between 05 and 2010. And that red POS Mustang is still better then this

And OMG, I suddenly love Trans AMs once you put a BBK and some wheels on it. Oh wait, I don't.
