I see what your saying but what I see at the track almost everytime the ones making the most power are being out ran by less powerful cars. Why? Weight play the biggest role in drag racing.

Honda's aren't nice inside neither are the Camaros, both are equally luxurious... no reason to spend more other than that it's a Chevy. LS1's are just overpriced for the performance when you look at the CBRs and GSX-Rs God damn you're diluted. If I wanted to buy an old piece of shit, outdated, out of warranty, ugly as sin car, I'd go back to owning an LS1 Fbody I had 13 years ago. Welcome to 1999, you have a 12 second car. Congratulations.

At idle, so about 600rpms. I learned that the more I would stall it the worst my 60ft were.

SS and WS6's in good condition are very nice cars, takes a car guy to appreciate them. Last edited by 08-G35s/6MT; 11-18-2013 at 03:46 PM. |

I'm quite a car guy, I don't need to appreciate an outdated, bloated, ugly 10 year old car to be considered a car guy, at least not by some dudebro on the internet that just discovered v8s a month ago. You posed the same ricer argument that real life trolls have been posing for years. Why would you buy a $30k 5.0 or 5th gen SS when you can run 12s in a $5,000 LS1? Because you want a new, reliable, more modern vehicle. I drive my car on long trips all the time. I like having nice, new seats. I like having a/c. I like having the piece of mind that my new car won't leave me stranded on my way to Monterey. I like knowing I can take it to a track day and pull 1+G in a turn and drive it back home with no issues. I don't want to buy an LS1 fbody for the same reason I don't go out and buy a 90 LX notch for $600 and put $2000 into it to run 12s. I don't want to. I don't care for it. I had a 4th gen, I was impressed with it then because I was 17, but they do absolutely nothing for me. They haven't in about 11 years, since Chevy killed them. I tracked most of the cars I've owned and I tracked ALL of the bikes I've owned except for my 1199, which will be hitting the track as soon as they open the tracks up around here. Car guy? lol get out of here.

Like I said no car on the market, that looks decent at least, can match the bang for your buck performance of an f body. You are the type that thinks this is a pos But at the same time think this is the greatest thing on earth. It's entertaining |

^ Nice of you to assume that I think that Ford is the greatest thing on earth. I don't. That thing is hideous. There is a reason why I never looked at a Mustang between 05 and 2010. And that red POS Mustang is still better then this
And OMG, I suddenly love Trans AMs once you put a BBK and some wheels on it. Oh wait, I don't.
