Is the wait killing you?.....it's killing me!

Hello Camaro5'er, My name is Joe. I currently own two Chevrolet Camaro's. My first car ever which is a 1987 2.8L Berlinetta and my second Camaro an all black 2001 SS. I have been a Camaro lover since the first time I saw one and will never drive anything else. I have wanted to purchase a new one since the first concept drawing I saw but the timing was not good. Now that the time is right I have decided to wait for the HP Edition because lets face it, I love horsepower! I am going crazy waiting for this car when all those pretty SS's are at the dealership across town. I can wait though (I was a sniper in the Army, waiting is something I got good at) but its tuff. I think once I can order my car I'll fell a little better. So how is everyone else dealing with the wait?...Name: IMG_4756.jpg

Nice CAMAROs!!! It's killing me, but like ron10 says - it's time for saving money. I'd like to see more information more than anything. I know our day is coming nearer though

BTW - thank you for your service. I'm sure you have some stories

It's killing me too... I'm so tempted to just pick up a 2SS/RS now, but I have to hold on, at least until they announce the thing. Then maybe, once it's REAL, and I tell my dealer to put my name on the list, I'll be able to have more patience.

It's waiting for the confirmation that's killing me right now!

Yeah right. As soon as I put my name on a list and left a deposit with my dealer about a month ago, it's gone from an obsession to damn near a sickness, lol. I now check the forums many times, every day in hopes of new info and breaking news. On my computer, on my phone, at work or in the bathroom, it doesn't matter.

Once they actually reveal the thing, I expect that sickness to multiply exponentially with excitement and anticipation. There is only one cure to this sickness, and until that day comes I will just have to revel in it's misery.

But seriously, I need to get a life

My deposit has been with a dealer since last April. I actually drove over there last week to visit it with him. He was very nice and confirmed that I was the first on the list as soon as allocations and pricing are announced. He tossed me the keys to a ZL575 (2010) he had on the lot and I took it for a ride. Based on this car, the Z is going to be a really fun, fun car to drive.

Fbodfather said to keep the faith.

I've had $550.00 a month going into a savings for my new Z28 for about a year now. I'm faithful and impatient at the same time. I'm really excited to see some specs - soon would be nice.

I love that we're supposed to get the magnetic suspension. I can just feel those curves sliding under me as I power through them. Sounds almost pornographic, right?

Anticipation is a delicious aphrodisiac.

(But I want it now.)

My doctor told me the shakes and the inability to get a good nights sleep will pass as soon as I get this car and that thier is no meds available for this illness.
On the waiting list with my dealer and saving money every month. If a vert comes out 6 months latter i'll pass on it, I don't want to wait any longer then I have to.

Lurking on here almost every day, hoping to find a confirmation somewhere that the supercharged thing has become reality.

And then hope and pray that GM will do the effort of having it homologated for the EU, or if I will have to plan a US-trip, buy one and import myself...

And yes, it's ever more tempting, the more I look on here to buy an SS, import it and start modding that... must resist !!!!

The only thing keeping me going is the faith that they'll deliver a car worthy of all the attention its getting BEFORE it's even been announced to exist!!

I could have picked up a 2SS/RS last spring...but this car was worth waiting for...even though technically we still don't know if it'll exist...it's still worth the wait for me. It has been agonizing watching everyone around here enjoying their awesome cars, and posting videos, and modding, and racing....agghhh...Yes. It's killing me, but I know it'll be worth it.

Whatever they put together, whatever its called, and whatever it looks like...I know I'm going to flip my lid when they finally pull the sheet off.
