Bridgestone Potenza - are they good for front tires?

Looking at getting new tires and while the WANT is always Michelin, Bridgestone is $100 less per tire.

is it worth it or should i still get the Michelin? I don't track my car so any updates would be great.

I have them on my Corvette. I'm very happy with them. And I REALLY like them compared to the run flats the car had originally. But, that bar was set kinda low. It was between them and the Michelin PS. There were not a lot of options that were going to fit the rear wheels.

I have a 2017 2SS Fifty and replaced my run flats with Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position all the way around same size. I have had them on other cars and they are a good tire.

They're an old tire. You'd be better served with the ECS.

Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 is good too. General just came out with their G-Max RS.

I'm limited to my choices since I'm going thru costco. they seem to have the best prices on tires hands down.

Thoughts? I would go another route but money is a bit tight right now.

I have on order: POTENZA RE97

But might switch if i can get a better tire for somewhat the same price... I would do MPS, but they are $100 more per tire.

EDIT: Something tells me I should just bite the bullet and put the Michellins on my car. Safety and performance shouldn't matter over $200

RE71R's are intended for driving that's a lot harder than anything you should be doing intentionally on the street. Autocrossing and maybe road course track day stuff, with the ability to get you there and back home again. 200 treadwear, and at the top of the heap for autocrossing in street tire categories.

Re97?? Classed as a Grand Touring tire? Really.
Might be a comfy ride. But far from a performance tire.

You drive a Camaro Man Buy the proper tires! Period.
Yes, spend the couple extra hundred. You will not regret it like you will as soon as you drive on those RE97s

Thanks man!!! I called an auto shop and they might have a set with 80% tread left for 250 total.
