shaft roller rockers PRW PQx

Anyone ever seen or used these? I am going to go LLSR in the spring and these look like a good option 1/2 the price of others.

Damn, those do look good!! The price, too!! I think these might be finding their way onto one, or both, of my engines.....

I would stay away from them. The description says made from alloys which would lead me to believe they are a cast alloy rather than billet or a quality material. It's reflected in the cost.

I read that they're made from premium billet extrusions. Only way to find out is to buy them and give them a shot. Someone could stick them on a worked over high revving 5.3L and see how they hold up.

The Performance Quotient PQx rocker arms are made from quality alloy extrusions. These systems include CNC-machined billet steel pedestals, and ground, steel alloy rocker shafts—along with PRW SCM-4135 alloy steel fasteners, studs, and bolts.

We must be reading it differently.

Frankly never heard of them, some have to try them yet..... Its got rollers in a cage for bearings and that's not so great ; not one long solid bar either but pairs; but yes of course better for higher revs..... and better costs so they could be a hit or a miss...….its yet to be determined..IMO. And testing something like this takes time and real world abuse.

Looks like some of the Performance Mags have used the COMP Cams Max-Lift BSR Shaft Rocker System as the choice for a upgrade in their builds. Not having done engine work on a LS(3) engine, are the rockers net and do not require adjustment, or is varying pushrod length necessary to obtain proper adjustment? In other words, are the shaft rockers a truly bolt on upgrade? I had a Comp Cams Trunion upgrade when my Whipple and cam was installed, but it still retains the needle bearings, and have heard of some failures. I think proper installation of the Comp Trunion upgrade is more of a factor than product failure, but who knows?

The are also "alloy" versus steel.
