Seems like a waste of time running in high heat (a high DA day) wait for a 65 degree cool night and get a good ET. |

A little bit better air here in FL and my car dips into the 11's on street tires. When it is hot and humid, it is 12.0 at 117 with 2.0 60' times. Not that bad, but I'd run a heck of lot faster in great conditions which we rarely get.

I have traded my 2SS in for a 18 Silverado. Once my 16 Malibu lease is up, I plan on looking at a 19 Vette with the A8. I'll mod it the same way as my Camaro was. Can't wait to get one!

You took it to the track and ran it.. that's more than most of these Mexico roll racers can claim.
Congrats on the time. Very few people can beat or even come close to magazine driver's time.. remember they are pros and have HUNDREDS of shots at getting those times, for many of us, its 3 or 4 runs on test n tune.

Thanks! Looking towards getting the Vette for more than just its performance capabilities.

One suggestion would be to shallow stage. Yes, it will hurt your reaction time but, if your goal is a better ET, the additional rollout will only help.
Quick link to a good article on staging: https://www.onallcylinders.com/2012/...your-drag-car/ Another, and I know this will not sit well with some, is to skip the water box if you're running radial street tires. I've never seen benefit from lighting up siped tires. |

I don't think so. For that price I'd go for a Z06. Depending on the rebates and deals, I'd get the Z06 or go cheap with a 1LT. I won't ever use the car on a road course.

A base 1LZ Z06 A8 would be a killer on the street and should be available in the low to mid 70's

Exactly. It's either that, or if I don't feel like making a "beach house" payment, I'd be happy with the base A8 Stingray. LOL
