It is Normal

So we dropped my Grandson's Camaro off at the dealer last thursday because the 1400 mile 2019 transmission slips and shudders when cold. They finally call today and say it's normal for an auto trans to slip. I am stunned that GM pulls this after their bankruptcy history. They offer no fluid change, no anything.
Flecked up company pissing off customers without any conscience. Maybe they don't want to sell any more cars.

I would try another dealer. The transmission shudder TSB says the dealer should flush the transmission fluid without further diagnostics.

Indeed. The breakpoint for Camaros is Feb 1, 2019. Get the build sheet, if the car was built prior to that it’s eligible for the TSB flush, and per the TSB no verification required. Take both documents to the dealer and insist it be done. If they refuse, find another dealer.

Build sheet available by emailing socialmedia@gm.com with the VIN. You’ll get it within a day or two.

It still amazes me that dealers refuse to do this. It’s revenue in their pocket as it gets billed to GM.

Maybe the car was manufactured after 3/1/2019?

It was and we took delivery the end of June 2019. The car only has 1400 miles on it since. I don't think the trans was filled with the Mobil 1 synthetic as described in the July TSB.
WTF is wrong with gm?
This is exactly why they get trashed and lose customers.
Apparently Barra doesn't give a damn about future buyers.

Nope she doesn’t give a rats ass about the customers because the future is EV vehicles and that seems to be GM and other automakers focus now! Good luck with the Camaro.

It’s ONE dealer doing this to you. What was the build date? Not the delivery date. June delivery is highly likely it’s pre Feb 1 build date. When I had my TSB done it was preventative, trans never had the shudder. Dealer tried to tell me they needed to “verify” it. I had printed out the TSB and left it in the car. I told the advisor it didn’t need to be verified per the TSB and showed it to him. No more argument, they did it. If your build date is pre Feb 1, that build sheet and the TSB is your written ammo.
Personally, I’d take it to another dealer at this point.

Your experience isn't a "GM" problem, it's a dealer problem. Doesn't matter what brand of vehicle you buy, if your dealer sucks...

Email/contact GM directly and tell them about your experience. Go to another dealer (a better one) and let them do the work.

Obviously, that TSB doesn't apply.

It could be GM. It could be the dealer.

Like others have said, try another one and see what they say.

"I don't think the trans was filled with the Mobil 1 synthetic as described in the July TSB." How did you come to this conclusion? What was the build date?

How do you know the TSB doesn't apply? The BUILD DATE is the cutoff, not the delivery date. It's not outside the realm of possibility it was built before Feb 1. Could have sat 1-2 months in transit, then sat on the dealer's lot for months.

Well, now you do have a problem. You could still argue your case to GM, but if it's got the true shudder issue you might want to consider just paying for the flush and haggling with GM over reimbursement. It's about $450. The longer you let it go, the worse the damage will be. Of course if you just let it destroy itself, then they'll have to cover a more expensive repair under the PTW!
