Running a test and had to end it soon so couldn't finish the parts. But got enough done to where I'm happy with the changes I made. So those I'll do a preproduction set tomorrow.
Intake plug resin failed at 200c. I could swap resin but that would increase the cost. Backed down to 150c checking it right now. At 200c it became brittle. 150c is still 302f so still over what the intake temps will see. If I can't get the thermals I want out of the plug I'll start looking at other methods and I'll just do some firewall block off plates first. Still on trade to have a final version done by Friday. If anyone in S.E. Michigan wants to provide some feedback on a set pm me I need someone independent to check it and let me know about the fit. That should be ready by Friday. |

Just finished a thermal test. 110c passed. -45c passed. And the thermal cycle from -44c to 110c passed.

Ok got the final version worked out. So SS set up is done pending having someone check fit. So if you are in Michigan and want a set for free let me know. Just need some feedback on it.
So the question is what do you.guys feel like is a fair price for the intake plug and firewall block off plate? |

Any shrinkage or porosity in these that need to be sealed?
I have no idea what something like this should sell for so, $20.00 plus the ride? |

Nope solid resin. Not done on a cheap 3D printer. These are printed with a SLA printer. Normal fdm 3d printer after a while the layers come apart. You really don't want that on an intake part. These being resin are one peice. You can shatter it with a hammer and the inside you won't see any layers. If anyone wants I got some test parts I made I can crack and show the inside. But no. Solid parts. Temp tested from -45c to 110c. |
