I think it’s at least double that once you factor in the pump, LTR, Tank, and AWIC coolant (3 gallons at 8 lbs a gallon).

On a gross basis it probably is over 100lbs, but you remove some stuff too.
There are couple threads here on the forum where the additional weight of a PD blower is discussed. I dont recall any #s being over 100lbs net, but could have been 80 or a little higher.

The only stuff you remove is the plastic intake manifold.

You add:

Blower
Low temp radiator
Pump
3 gallons of coolant
Hoses

My car was 3,663 stock.

I last weighed it with MCS dampers (-40 pounds)
Good Aero wing (+10 maybe? Carbon wing with steel uprights.)
I have a custom Cordes Performance AWIC coolant tank, which probably weighs a pound or two more than the junky blown plastic one Whipple ships
Z28 wheels and 305/325 PS4S
Carbon Splitter and hardware (probably +8 pounds)

3,795 pounds.

It adds a lot of weight. The car handles it quite well, but I am pondering a 427 N/A build.

Thanks guys - helpful information. I was quoted the shipping weight of 147 pounds for both packages as another data point (with packaging, likely somewhat estimated, etc).

I went back and look at the fedex shipping info on my whipple. 147 lbs was the shipping combined shipping weight of the the two packages. Keep in mind a lot of that is just shipping/packaging and other items such as the hp tuners that does not add weight to the car.

But that's also not counting the 3 gallons of coolant you're going to add to the AWIC system either.

Appreciate the detail - 140 odd pounds on a 3700 pound car that adds 40% more power likely outweighs the negative in my book!

It definitely increases the giggle factor.

And pulling out of corners is a riot.

Have you come up with a game plan for when you try for the 9s later this season? I ask because different tracks will react in different ways to a street car running under 10sec. Some don't apparently mind so much, while others will really not like it. I've talked to someone around here that ran in the 9s with his street car, and the tech guy was so pissed that he wanted the driver to physically GTFO the premises.

9s at my local track would not be an issue but the DA sucks so I dont think I will see 9s here even when it cools down in September.

The other two low DA tracks I am thinking about going to this fall are both stricter tracks. I know guys that have been into the 9s with street cars at these tracks. First time into the 9s they will tell you slow it down or your done. Second time they will kick you off the track. So I figure I will only get one pass into the 9s before I am done.
