I'm looking to supercharge my LT1

So originally I was gonna go with a stage 2 cam and headers and msd intake manifold.. but now I'm thinking about maybe supercharging my camaro ss. Dont know which supercharger yet. But I dont want something that's gonna ruin my engine. I'm completely down to change the pistons if need be. So I'm just wondering what I will need to upgrade and what would be the best option for a safer low boost supercharger.
So far all I have done is a oil catch can a borla exhaust and a roto fab intake

Thanks

There is always some risk, of course, but depending on how much power you want to make and how much you're willing to risk, there are a number of proven solutions out there. For example, the Maggie (say the 2300 like mine), the Whipple or the Procharger are all reported to be fairly safe and enjoyable at 7-8 psi and the resulting 540-570 rwhp. You can't go wrong with any of these. If you want more power, the risk level increases progressively.

Now with that said, there are several actual experts here, so I think it's time for me to step down and listen

Pick your supercharger of choice, keep it around 8-10psi, LT4 fuel system top to bottom, flex fuel sensor, E60 and enjoy years of reliable power with a good tune.

Yep plenty to choose from but I'd pick the Magnuson.

Here in New Jersey it's nearly impossible to get s60 or e85. I would have to run 91 or 93

Yeah I would say 600 is my goal as of now. How do you like the Maggie 2300?

Love it so far. Drivability is excellent, I'd say even better than stock with the JRE tune, yet the car is a beast when I want it to be, the very Jekyll and Hyde sleeper I was looking for. I'm currently at 560 rwhp, 540 rwtq, 8 psi.

One doesn't get too much whine from the Maggie, its sound is dominated by a more aggressive rumble and roar---just saying in case you want a Hellcat-like sound profile, which I definitely don't.

You'll want the full LT4 fuel system for 600 rwhp.

If you're going to drop the coin on labor to do the cam, might as well do the heads and pistons while you're at it.

Well I wanted to do the heads too. I have been trying to get the guy at pray performance to do everything but he is semi impossible to get to work on your car. However is I do supercharge 5he car I do plan to do the cam pistons and heads. Do you know any reputable people on the east coast?

For the power level you want, if you are going forced induction then you won’t need to do heads or a cam. Talk to Ted at Jannetty Racing Enterprises. Very well known tuner and shop owner here. He is in CT so shouldn’t be too bad of a drive for you. Excellent guy and is a guru with these cars. Bought my pro charger from him and he’s been extremely helpful ever since. He remote tunes my car. (203) 753-7223

Brett (Pray) is a great guy and tuner also, but because he’s more of a one man operation and is very busy most of the time, you need to be patient. He does great work and has some good record cars as well.

Brett doesn't remote tune FI stuff.

The combo I posted earlier is all you need for your power goals. You don't need heads or cam for that. 600whp is a cake walk for this platform on 8psi.

That is fine if you don't have E85 in your area. You can always run meth for additional octane and cooling, but honestly it isn't needed until you get above 650whp. LT4 fuel system top to bottom with a good tune will work fine at 600whp on 93.
