So what did you use? Will you be able to use any screw on knob now? What size will fit I want to be able to have the freedom of getting any knob from anywhere...

If you use the Barton Industries threaded adapter, you'll only be able to use shift knobs that are threaded as 3/4-16.

I don't get the lowering the knob thing.
Too low already for me.
I would want it 1.5 to 2" higher so it sits in my hand. Not have to reach down to shift.

They "say" it will on fit their 3/4-16 is that just blowing smoke then? Sounded like a bluff but wasn't sure... Lol oh and more importantly is this work on the 2.0t? Or only SS?

The Barton Industries adapter should any shift knob threaded 3/4-16. That said, it doesn't seem like there's a lot of shift knobs out there that come threaded 3/4-16.

I don't know if the 2.0T shifter is any different from the SS, but I can't say for certain.

I believe Raceseng is also 3/4 - 16. Their adaptor is cheaper than Barton as well.

I had to ask the place I got my knob from to make a custom insert with 3/4-16 threads... I'm sure most places will accommodate. Barton adapter is very high quality, but it's made out of 7075 aluminum so it doesn't weigh anything - if you prefer a weighted knob you'll need to get something out of solid steel.

Good excuse to post a pic I guess

Got mine a couple weeks ago and I LOVE IT! Install was easy, parts were machined perfectly, and it feels perfect in my hand.
I've been reading good things about this company. The circuit sphere looks like a really ergonomic lineup. How much heavier would you say this shift knob is compared to the stocker? I'm looking for something a little bit heavier and a little bit taller than the stock shift knob.
Has it held pretty well over the months? Pics would be awesome. Thanks in advance!

I'm a little late haha. I bought their contour shift knob and it is awesome! I believe all their shifters weigh about the same. I instantly noticed the weight difference and my shifts were a lot more smooth and natural.

If you'd like i can take a better picture haha stole that one from my instagram story

For those of you with a taste for the unusual, http://www.customredback.com/

I had one of these in my MR2 Spyder.

You might be surprised at how effective that knob was at keeping peoples hands out of the car when it was parked with the top down.

They aren't cheap and they come from the Great Down Under, so it takes a few weeks to get here, but they are terrifically unique and distinctive.

Even myself I'd fear putting my hand there haha.

Cool knob!

How did you get the stock shift knob separated from the shift boot? I have the boot and knob removed from the car.
