Unhappy HELP with diagnosing Bad chatter/Grinding car wont move only accelerate

So I let my friend drive my car and I let him give it a good rip and well the car stopped grabbing and it would just rev up without moving, at first I thought it was the clutch bc well im spraying the car with a 100 shot and the clutch was already slipping when nitrous was activated but not when the car was on N/A power. So new clutch and slave is in and the car is still making the same noise when the car first broke now im lost. I check diff fluid and trans they both came out clean of no metal shaving or nothing. I lifted the car and both wheels turn but initially only the passenger side was turning at first and left wheels was completely stopped until i put it in reverse than both wheels started turning. Than back in first gear and both wheels turn now. Now when the car is lifted in the air it doesnt make the noise. When the drivetrain is under no weight so im hoping it isnt the transmission or something it makes the noise near the middle of the car where the shifter sits right underneath I check driveshaft bolts and nothing all good im always replacing the bolts. So if anybody has any advice please leave a response and I’ll go and check it out see. Just hoping i don’t have to drop trans again… yes it reads MPH it reads 5-6 mph when clutch is fully released and grinding bad. At first it wouldn’t let me go into any gear after putting clutch together and trans but I messed with the gears like individually than all gears went in with ease. Was like a wall blocking me. Before new clutch was installed the car did the same movement it does now it moves forward until it has to move under weight

Sounds like transmission broken.

Very early 2010 M6 cars had a weak output shaft prone to snapping. It was a manufacturing defect, i.e. bad batch of shafts.

I concur.....Vettes did the same thing, but their output shaft was 3x longer.

Sounds like...

Hello,
You may have shredded the giubo coupling. It is what is used in place of a U-joint.

Correct me if im wrong but if the output shaft is broken wouldnt the driveshaft not spin? Because it spins just rear tires don’t move

Gears out of rear differential. But when you said it wouldn't go into gear etc. that's trans. Or tranny or whatever the correct name is now, "They".
Your they and your other is broken.

Could be both trans and diff then.
Or clutch and diff. It's hard for me to figure out by the info given.

This is too easy.....take your cell phone and put it on video, place it directly under the yoke on the rear diff. Start the car and with the parking brake on let the clutch out in 1st gear. If the yoke spun its in the diff, if it didn't its in the trans.

It could spin but it would have no power, just like a broken axle might turn up in the air, but on the ground, nothing but noise. Just had that with a snapped axle. Good way to tell is put it in the air, put it in gear, and turn the tail shaft flange with a pry bar. I would think you would be able to feel it if it was broken.

If you think it's the diff, disconnect the shaft and spin the yoke.

Inspect the guibos while you are down there.

Edit: or you try 45's cell phone trick. Never did that one.
