I wasnt pointing fingers. Totally a good sign. Read it another way if possible. If people post stuff and defend their vendor thats all good. Just make sure your vendor is working for your interst. Not what they think you want.

Im just too curious and it doesnt translate well to text. I think in the end were saying the same thing. Just from other perspectives.

Where does this presumed 325tq TR3160 limit come from?

Ltg has the B gearing -- GT350 would be the C gearing. most likely the same materials, or it would propably say something. dunno.

I wonder if GM was in any way involved in how that rating came about (Im sure they had a hand), but if so-may as well throw that number right out the window.

Just a little more insight, Trifecta has been running this turbo for a year now on 5 different LTG cars with zero issues. This includes their beater "shop car" they intentionally abuse. If something bad happens I'll certainly let everyone know.

Not sure what the concern with the manual transmission is. It's more than adequate to handle what you throw at it. I can't speak for the A8 crowd though.

My Bad, Tremec lists the LTG as Gearing A for a rated Input torque of 295.

GM lists the input for the same gearing as 322.

There's some telling of the wiggle room.

I'm trying to figure out how you throw Turbo Bay into the mix of saying it's the same to correct you on things. Turbo Bay has a 71mm to a 72mm billet wheel and yes the hot side is the same with 9 HL that is clipped. where The T40 and Vermont Tuning is the same wheel set up to the exact T. But I do like the numbers you got so far, As far as the waste gate is I wouldn't swap it, I had turbo bay convert a forge waste gate to use on my turbo bay stage 2 turbo. My current waste gate is the stock one.

A8 crowd is doing just fine. This may be where we see this unintentional number disparity between everyone.

I was just generalizing the range of cost of available turbos on the market. I didn't go into specifics of each model out there.

How many different springs rates did you try out on the waste gate? That was the biggest obstacle to figure out.

What kind of HP & TQ #'s did you dyno at with the Turbo Bay?

i did a quicky test on planing off the peak with peak torque and you can constrain the TQ if you wanted to. just as a suggestion if you ( or I maybe) wanted better winter driving,.

fwiw.
