I think the political ads are more of a function of the ad software associated with the page based on your browser history. If you look up political stuff or appear more potentially responsive to political ads or Bloomburg just spent another gazillion dollars on ads then you're likely to see a political ad.

The ads you see are based on your browsing history. We don't control it. If we did, nobody would ever see a Mustang ad on here ... and a number of people have made complaint threads about just that over the years.
