PDR Front Camera

Aloha All

Anyone figure out how to use the PDR camera as a front parking assist camera so we don't damage the front splitter?

Have you used the PDR yet? I don't see any possible way you could use it as a front park assist due to the limited view it has of what is in front of the car.

I wish I could figure out how to leave my PDR running while I am at work. Some jackass backed into my 2018 ZL1 and damaged the front splitter and never left me a note.

Thank god the splitter is separate from the front fascia.

The aftermarket has kits to make that happen. Haven't looked into it for GM BUT ford is lockpick. I know you can unlock all the cameras and actually make buttons like the Call button on the wheel activate the front camera on demand whether moving or not. I hate that 5 mph cut out when you hit the factory button for front cameras anyway. On my wife's ZL1 we added a camera to the front that you can't even see unless you get on your side and look under it. There's a small switch in the console that she hits and it activates the camera. I didn't add one to my 1LE though yet.

PDR is behind the mirror, I don't think it would give you a better view than looking through the windshield

It would be a great feature to have a front cam but when I bought my car my salesman told me to get used to backing it in for this very reason lol.
