Glad I’m not the only one with the “clicking off” issue. But I’ve never had the nozzle get stuck, and I’m in California.

No problems here in the land of sun and guns! Maybe it has something to do with that stupid CA vapor saver thing that wraps around the nozzle. Looks like they put a dry vent hose over the nozzle to solve a non-problem.

I find the best way to prevent the pump from prematurely ending is to put it in just right before it hooks and hold it there.
Just the tip bro.
Lol
Are we still talking about gas pumps? LOL

All the California nozzles have trouble with their auto-fill mechanisms. Cross the border into Arizona and Nevada and you'll notice the nozzles look more bare bones, like something out of the 1970s, and never have click-off problems. Commiefornia strikes again!

The OP's problem is the nozzle sticking or hard to remove from the gas tank filler tube, not with the auto fill mechanism.

Our nozzles have ridges and I've never had an issue with my Z or my Ford work van with their capless system.

I've never had that issue on my ZL1. I like the capless feature

Here in Texas, I avoid Shell. There nozzles are larger and they click off very fast. It's almost impossible to start the pump and walk away to clean the winshield or write the mileage down....etc....

I've always thought that the Shell pumps pump to fast and that's why they turn off.

My biggest gripes: outward visibility, lousy PDR audio, lousy PDR video quality and noisy sway bar endlinks but the performance bang for the buck compensates for these flaws for now.
