Best bet in these situations is to pull in and go back out in minute or two. Makes for more enjoyable experience and less likely to get caught in being aggressive on track and leaving more out there than you bargained for.. ie wreck.

Unfortunately because Sebring is so long, you only get 7 laps, per session. It was the last session so I wanted to get the most tome on track. Plus there was a race car Porsche behind me, I wanted to follow, he was so fast in the turns
Thx for advice

It's so easy to say that but when you keep running someone like this down, you hope that reason prevails in their minds and they say "ah, shit, I need to let this guy pass - he's all over me."

I have seen quite a few of OPs videos. I'm not sure what group he runs with (I know he's in their "Advanced" group though of course), but the skill variance I've seen in the videos makes me question how people are being vetted into "Advanced".

This Corvette driver is driving at an Intermediate level at best. He's afraid to freaking turn the car, his braking seems excessively long, and never mind how he's COMPLETELY oblivious to faster traffic around him...and there's little excuse for him. At no point here do I see the rear start to step out, or any signs that he's driving remotely near the limit. Turn 17 is the most egregious to me - the hell is that pointless sudden dive to the right for an early apex just to putz around the corner like that? In my old group, he'd have had a "talk" after that session, and possibly even sent down a group. Furthermore, nobody in Advanced gets coaches in my groups historically.

Yup! Even in Intermediate, if someone did this to me and I got a run on him, he's getting passed. He can talk to the stewards about it later.

And thanks for reminding me about that: high Intermediate and Advanced groups could pass anywhere w/o a point in my groups, too.

You are correct, he does not belong in advanced, I did not show entire video, but he held me up for 5 laps, total. So unnecessary!!

If I dive bombed him without a point by, I would be black flagged. It is mandatory point bud in all groups. This guy did get reprimanded, after that session, he held many drivers up, because he was fast on the straits

Point buys are mandatory with most groups in Florida, even in advanced.

Which is fine really, its just abnormal.

I think mine and Krop's statement stands in that we'd probably still pass his ass at the earliest opportunity and let him deal with explaining his actions afterward.

"Man, I was all over for you for so long, I could have sworn I seen you point. Maybe you accidentally hit your turn signal? I mean, it's impossible that I could have been right on your ass for 5 laps without you even noticing me at all, right?"
