Weird pop noise coming from passenger side whenever AC is turned on

Hi everyone.

My car has this weird "pop" sound every time I turn on the AC. Does anyone of you have the same issue with the car? My 5th gen never had that issue, so I think is definitely something abnormal and have a schedule with the dealer this Friday. Anyone has some input about this?

I havent heard any pop but I'll check...Is it intermittent? Is it triggered as soon as you turn on the AC?

It's something closing in the A/C... some sort of metal flap... some people have bent it so it doesn't do it anymore... me personally I like it so i know it's closed.. your choice.

I had the same thing on my car. Its the vent door httting the housing when shutting. I guess it's a manufacturing mistake, the vent doors are a bit too big. Take it in, if you're dealer tells you it's normal burn the place down and go somewhere else.

A few threads exist here covering the topic. A quick search and you will find answers.

I did search something like noise when AC is turn on etc.. but couldn't find anything. If you are trying to help, you can simply just post the link of the few threads about this topic on the search section. Thanks!
