On the 2018 there is no front crash protection. The 2019 is the only ones with it as a option, personally, my mother had that front crash stuff on her 2016 Malibu and it really didn’t work and if it did work it was more of an nuisance...plus it’s just something else to break when it gets older. You really don’t need it, get a curb alert.

Any safety feature is a positive.. Period. Any feature that can help you avoid accidentally hitting someone should never be considered a nuisance.
Anyone that says things like it's annoying or it's another thing to break is just trying to "sound cool" because their car does not have it. Truthfully it ridiculous that most trim levels of this car don't have all the safety features standard, nevermind not even having several available at all on a $50k car. And if the thought is that it's just another thing to break than get a car with manual windows, manual seats, no air conditioning, etc.. |

As someone who rides his Harley 15-20k miles a year, I want all cars to have blind spot sensors. Should be standard.
