For shits and grins I figured I'd check CarMax. Just went through the offer process. $30,800. That's $2800 more then I paid for it last year. Boy, if I had any inkling at all of selling it, it sure would be the time, but I have zero interest in selling it.

Why are people stupid enough to buy from them? When I was looking last year their listed prices were about $2000 to $3000 higher than local car dealers and the Carmax cars also have more miles on them usually. Carmax is no haggle. You can get a lot better deal at a car dealer for same car with lower miles.


I wonder how many of those Camaros and Mustangs Carmax has are former Hertz cars. Hertz was selling them dirt cheap last year. I've seen used car lots buying them from Hertz and then jacking the price up.


Vroom is also no haggle, BUT their prices seem to be more appropriate than Carmax.


I think this is more of a Camaro thing though. The Mustang GTs have seen a small price increase BUT not nearly to the level the Camaro has lately.

only 300 v8 gen6 camaro's in the whole of sweden and very few imported anymore.
official imports are about 10 a year lol. chevy pulled out of here 2 years ago.
swedes love to buy pos german cars they can then bragg about on facebook. for some strange reason they think buying a 60k audi on finance is the right thing to do lol. loose 20k soon as you drive that pos thing off the forecourt.

Yeah I wrecked my 16 vert Gt (49k) in January and was stoked when insurance gave me 31k. Then I saw what used cars was going for and realized the over pated me cuz I was gonna have to pay out. Think I got lucky at the time though.

Found a 2018 1SS with 27k for $34,007

It had red Katzkin leather, lowered, 20x11 20x10 zl1 1le replicas, 305’s in back, sway bars front and rear lowered, AWE touring resonated Cat back and a Procharger D1sc. It had a sticker of the shop that installed PC and had them check it out. After he check it out and asked me price said to buy it no hesitation.

My best friend works for a Ford dealership and said stock they would give 33k in trade and he told me to buy it.

Once i drove it..... it was a wrap....









I could probably make 2k trading in and more to a private seller. Wouldn’t matter though as I’d have to buy another car and all that profit would go to a market adjusted over priced car

Nope Camaro’s not special. They gave me the moon on my gt vert when totalled in january. And i looked at the mustang market too when buying.

Their selling used for as much as new too. I was seeing 16 GT verts for almost sane price i paid in 2017/18.

Buddy of mine when too look at a camaro and they were giving him what he paid 2 years ago for his impala.... it’s across the board....
