Mrr replica rims vs oem

Ok guys got new tires mounted and they damaged 3 of the 4 rims. After a botched repair job they are leaning to replacing them. Anyone have an idea of how much OEM ones are? Also found the mrr replica ones for 1400 on Ebay. How do these stack up against the OEM? Does anyone know if they are forged like the OEM? The company is on the fence about replacing them so I am just trying to get a few options. The dealer needs my vin which I dont have right now. Thanks for the info

Believe OEM is a full forging. I would not accept the MRRs as a substitute IMO.

"On the fence", I'd call and attorney. I just purchased a set of MRR rims for some winter tires for the colder months, from a distance they look OK but they're are cheap China cast rims with a crappy finish, the OEM rims are forged and better finished by a long shot.

oem. i would also contact an attorney if said company is not cooperating. they aren’t going to be happy when they get numbers from a dealership.

That's just brutal and unacceptable!!! What a bunch of amateurs. Can't trust some shops nowadays. A lot of techs can't properly remove run flats or low profile tires because they're inexperienced, lazy or just don't give a shit. I had a similar experience with a newbie technician. I nearly choked the life outta the idiot kid, who had the audacity to give me attitude when I complained that he damaging all my wheels. Regardless, the shop owner had all the wheels refinished like new. I'd get the exact ones that were damaged, not the fake MRR replicas. Those aren't very high quality wheels. I once owned a set for my BMW. I sold them after a coup!e of years because the paint job on them was cheap and I didn't like them on the car anymore. You get what you pay for with wheels. The other set I got were double the price and were much higher quality.

Mrr look ok but the finish is not very good. Apex are much better quality.. if you go that route.

That is the entire reason businesses are required to carry insurance. They shouldnt be crying since they couldnt figure it out after destroying the 1st rim...

Only accept 100% authentic wheels from the dealer.

I have 13,000+ miles on my MRR 716 - they are holding up well. I autox on them once n while, no issues in my book. They balance well and hold balance and i'm driving on NJ roads.
