Yeah I agree. My bodyshop is fully capable of doing such a task, we do it on exotics all the time. I just don't want to risk it. I can deal with a little orange peel. It's hard to see on the white without LED lighting anyway.

But anyway, no need to make this an orange peel discussion.

Well, I finally drove it home yesterday...

Wow. What an amazing car. I didn't get into it much at all, going to mind the break in, but just from driving it 50 miles yesterday, I'm very impressed. It drives so flat, stable, and it feels INFINITELY more nimble than my 5th gen ZL1 'Vert. It feels tight and small driving it in a good way. I can't wait to get the small mods done and I'll get pics up today or tomorrow if I pull it out. I made the right choice with the A10 too, such an amazing transmission, I may never go back to manuals if they keep making transmissions that are this good.

I have the following waiting to be installed:
Roto-fab
Diode Dynamics LED sidemarkers and license plate lights
GM ZLE Dark taillights and 3rd brake
Rear reflector tint

Can't wait to get started. I plan on doing a full detail myself, going to give it a Finishing Polish (Essence or Adam's Finishing) which should bring out some awesome gloss and shine. Seal, Glaze, and Wax it. Got a load of CarPro products on the way...

I was a bit depressed to see a bit of orange peel in the paint, more than I'm used to on my "nice cars"...I know our clear coats are already very thin so I doubt we have enough to work with to wet sand it to get it flat?
Very nice I have the same sidemarkers and LOVE them.

Spent about 8 hours on it today.

Full wash
Decon (surprisingly amount of metal on the finish, purple all over with Adam’s Iron Remover)
Clay
Rinse and dry
Full finishing polish (The paint came out great. But the clarity of the Carbon Fiber after polishing is really mind blowing, and the black trim polished out amazingly well)
Sealant, Glaze and Paste Wax
Wheel Sealant
Glass Sealant
And more...

I did install all of my aesthetic mods too but took pictures before then so I’d still have some sun light for them. More pics coming soon. Absolutely love this thing. Pictures do these cars ZERO justice!

*Edit* looks like all the photos posted correctly but the Carbon shot is flipped. Still get the point.

Don't worry about orange peel. It is supposed to be there. It is a nice color. White is definitely good for summer.

Congrats

The white looks great. Congratulations on the ride. Some more black or carbon fiber details might give it a more aggressive look. Maybe a carbon rear spoiler?

I was thinking some black vinyl work soon. Don't tempt me on ordering the ACS spoiler, I'm already thinking about it. Perhaps wrapped mirrors and roof. Not sure. Changing out the taillights/3rd brake/sidemarkers/tinted reflectors got rid of a lot of the colors and made a big difference.

Very nice They ARE a blast to drive, a real head turner.
I envy how clean your car is, had mine at Gingerman last weekend, and it is absolutely filthy. I'll get it all cleaned up this weekend, looks like some nice weather heading our way for a change

I’ve posted pictures of them before. I’ll get a shot with all of them in one soon. Gotta get the dust off them.
