Continental Tire Series

Anyone here watch the Continental Tire Series (Grand Am) race that air today from VIR? The #6 Stevenson Chevrolet, Sunoco Camaro finished second after spinning earlier. The Camaro ran really well since I think this was only it's 4th race. Congrats .

Yep, great race. The Camaro was a beast and it looks so damn good. The race was actually last weekend. This was a tape.

The #6 Sunoco Camaro finishing 2nd was just awesome...they had to replace the motor twice this week and had to start in the back of the field...

Jeff Bucknum, the 2nd driver, was leading with 4 laps to go and then had to pit for gas, but he still managed to finish a strong 2nd!!!...

Congrats to Stevenson Motorsports for the podium finish last week at VIR!!!....

I really enjoyed watching the race today, and seeing the #6 & 9 Sunoco Camaros racing!!!...very exciting to see a car I own racing out there!!!...

Great job Jeff and Matt Bell in the #6 car with your 2nd place finish!!!...

How modified are the engines and suspensions on these cars? I like that they at least seem to be based on a production body.

Great info. Looks like the stock shift knob. Gives lot of info, but not the weight. I would really like to know how much it weighs.

SMPDude is on the Stevenson Team, ask him... not sure I've seen the info online or in other threads.

The cars weigh in around 3400 lbs with the driver. The suspensions are basicly stock, minus a few bushing changes made by riley. The drive train (engine, trans, diff, axles, etc) are all stock camaro pieces. These are actually cars that came off a showroom floor, installed roll cages, brake upgrades, different engine managment system and you have a race car.
