Talking Best shot at allocation in DFW Texas

Hi

I am currently a 2019 GT owner and am looking to get my prized catch a 2SS 1LE in Red Hot (or black) with sunroof and PDR.

Does anyone know which dealer in Dallas gets the most allocation? I will be financially ready for cash buy in March 2023. When should I place order?

If worse comes to shove then I can take delivery prior to March.

Based on my time frame when should I place order? From which dealer?

Amy help is appreciated.

CLASSIC chevrolet

Actually CLASSIC chevrolet in GRAPEVINE would be most likely candidate. Allocations are based on vehicle sales and they are usually in the top FIVE in the whole country and normally number ONE. There are ROUGHLY 3000 chevrolet dealers in the whole country. Rick Hendrick Chevrolet is the largest CORVETTE dealer.

I agree with Classic Chevrolet out in Grapevine. Great sales and service department. Danny and Will were my sales team. The PDR is currently on constraint and will hold up your build if you order it.

Also had a good experience with Classic in Grapevine.

How long it will take and when you should order to take delivery in March is much harder to help with as it will depend on parts supply and GM being able to build what you order. Pre-pandemic, turnaround time was 6-8 weeks from what I understand. I ordered a 2SS with a few additional options in August '21, had an allocation about a month later, and took delivery almost exactly 3 months to the day from placing the order in November. Since then, other people have had to wait much longer.

Classic Chevrolet without a doubt...I ordered a 2022 2SS from them on February 17 and actually picked it up yesterday so it took right at four months from order to delivery...Eric Hall ordered mine and he and the rest of the staff at Classic were outstanding...best car buying experience I have ever had...you can't go wrong with them

Hendrick is not the largest Corvette dealer. That would Ciocca(formerly Kerbeck) in New Jersey and MacMulkin in New Hampshire. They outsell the closest Hendrick dealer by almost 5:1.

Allocations for Camaro are based on Camaro sales, not overall Chevrolet sales. As for which dealer is the best shot at getting one, it's going to be the dealer that has the least amount of names on a waitlist that want a 2SS and or PDR ahead of you. A larger dealer might have 50 names on their list but that doesn't mean they're getting 50 allocations.

My advice is to get on a list with as many dealers as possible that will sell you a car at MSRP. Go with the one that calls you first to tell you that they have an allocation available.

I would love to be able to make sense of the whole allocation thing. I ordered from a large dealer in TX, & from what I can see in global connect, there is 1 order ahead of me that has been accepted & at 3400 with a TPW of 7/4. A few 22's have trickled in over the last few weeks & of course sold within hours of making it off the truck. So how many have to sell and/or how much time has to pass before an allocation opens up?

Guys (or gals) - all of your inputs have helped me immensely in getting prepared for this massive undertaking. I am using a bit of humor here with the word massive because getting a Camaro is like looking for treasure now.

I called Friendly Chevrolet and Huffines Chevrolet yesterday.
Friendly - they said MSRP + sales tax + $1200 fee. That’s fully out the door.
Huffines - they said MSRP but I forgot to get the full out the door price. I did mention to them that I had a “GM Supplier for Friends Discount” to which they said they won’t honor.

However I read all of your comments after the call so looks like I’ll be having to get in touch with Classic.

Does anyone have any idea on “Supplier for friend’s discount”? My friend who gave me this said it’s at the dealers discretion.

What would be a good buy? Do you all think what Friendly Chevrolet offered to me was decent?

Your contributions are very helpful and enhancing my journey to getting the Maro!

Most dealers are not honoring any of the discounts - even for GM employees. If you can find one that does, great - but don't count on it. I found out after placing the order that I qualify for a supplier discount, and Classic said no.

I did get it for straight MSRP, no markup - and also declined the $700 "North Texas" package without having to fight it. This was back in the tail end of last year so things might have changed, but I would definitely check in with Classic before I agreed to paying 1200 more at Friendly.

Also, please don't call it a "Maro" - and while I"m being pedantic, if you're talking about more than one, it's "Camaros" and NOT "Camaro's"

This guy told me over the phone msrp on one that was coming in that someone had ordered if the guy flaked out. I was going to arrange shipping to CA but I just got an allocation last week at a dealer about an hour away here in SoCal. Hope this helps:

I wanted to let you know that the Camaro did sell, But I did want to let you know that we do have a Camaro 1ss/1le coming in august. is that something you would be interested in ? if so and you have any more questions
