How often does the Chevy chat update?

Just wondering how often the Chevy chat automated order status gets updated. I keep checking several times a day to see if my order has been built (TPW was 5/23, and as of yet it's still waiting on it), but I don't know if that's necessary. Does the system get updated in real time throughout the day, or does it only update once overnight or something? Basically I'm wondering when the best time to check would be.

Have you tried bypassing the automated system? If you type in "live agent" and then you can get more specific details on your order.

Sure of you call them saying its in transit please contact dealer more specific lol

Just tried this, but unfortunately they couldn't give me anything more than what the automated chat system was saying. They did say that the TPW is subject to change, and they offered to send me weekly emails on the car's progress until it is produced. I was hoping to at least confirm that it would be built this week, since 2023 production is scheduled to start on 6/17, but they couldn't (or wouldn't) even confirm that.

Looks like I'll just have to keep checking daily to see if it actually get's built, or wait for notification from my salesperson (he's been giving me weekly updates as well).

A genius "live agent" was still sending me email updates that there's no ETA on my car, after I already picked up the car.

Funny thing is 3 different "Live agents" took my email address.

Never received an email at all and I am driving my car with just over 2500 miles on it.....

Hey OP, all GM order status updates are pushed every morning at 6:00 AM EST.

***If you're talking with an agent, make sure they give you the current event code. I was told by a Chevy chat agent last Thursday that my '23 1SS 1LE was accepted by Chevrolet, but when he finally gave me the event code after asking for the 3rd time, it was at 1100. 1100 just means it was submitted by dealer, 2000 is accepted by Chevrolet. They'll usually give you pushback when you ask for the current event code, but they'll give it to you if you're persistent.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering when the Chat was updated, whether it was in real time or at a certain time each day.

I'll have to check again today, but when I was speaking to my salesman yesterday he confirmed that it was still showing with a TPW of 5/23, but was not showing as having been built yet. He did say that they have had times where customer orders just show up at the dealership while still showing in the Chevy order tracking system as not having even been built yet, so I'm hoping this is one of those times. He also mentioned that he'll be seeing their GM rep on Monday, and he will talk to him about my order (along with a couple of other orders he has in the pipeline) so we'll see if he can get any more information at that time.

[Edit] Just checked the Chevy chat now, and it's saying the car has been built! I had checked it earlier this morning (around 4:45 am EST) and it was showing it hadn't been built yet, so it must have been built yesterday and the order status got updated at 6:00 this morning, as you mentioned. I sent my salesman a text to have him confirm (and see if he has a VIN yet), but this is great news!

Now to just see how long the shipping is going to take, which is another crapshoot from everything I've heard. What's the best way to check on shipping now that the old methods are no longer available?

From what one agent told me was that their systems get updated every Tuesday. Don’t know how true that is, maybe they just want less people bugging them everyday, which is why they went with a virtual agent. But just my 2 cents

If I’m not mistaken your vin is available at event code 3400

Ive seen it two weeks apart a live agent freely give me an event code (3000) and a TPW (7/25) and then two weeks later have to pry an event code out of another agent (3000) and then tell me no TPW has been assigned.

It's frustrating.
