The convertible is governed at 155 mph
The coup will do a little over 170 mph.

Limit on the SS coupe is 180 mph. You probably won't ever reach it anyway.

I don't have a tune for a convertible, but the interwebs say it's 155 mph on the vert.

From 2 videos that I've seen of the SS/1LE model in a top speed run, it does look like they reached the aero drag limit instead of the electronic limiter. What arpad_m said is true, the stock ECM does have a speed limiter set at 180. It's just that this model seems to reach the drag limit before the VSS gets to 180 where the electronic limiter would apply. Member Timbo-1LE reached 174 on the speedometer with a stock car, and member Tim M reached 175 on the speedometer with the GM CAI and it's included retune being the only modifications.

Chevy rates the car at 175...seems about right. It is a non-event at that speed.

Does the SS 1LE have to be in competitive mode to get full horse power?
