Convertible Top Fuzzies

Did some searching, but not much found. I plan to do the sealer/protectant soon, but wondering what if anything can be done to reduce the environmental "fuzzies" that stick to the top? It's not even cottonwood season anymore, and I still find that they build up in a hurry. I use a shop vac to get them off now. Works pretty well, but would like to see if anyone has any tricks out there?

Thanks,

Mike

Try lint rollers. Shop vac tends to cause abrasions. Lint rollers have kept mine looking like New since September. Looks showroom perfect. And I drive it a good bit. 5000 miles so far. I keep one in the trunk. Enjoy the car !!!

Try blowing it with a leaf blower or use the lint roller as mentioned above.

I use an air hose and blow accross the top. Works like a charm.

Blower and air hose are good. I hit it with one of those when available before rolling. Then hit it with the roller to remove everything else. The roller gets it all. Dust dirt and lint. I was worried about adhesive transfer but so far no problems. I know some people will scrub it with a brush. I haven't had to do this yet. Worry about it causing nubbies. Mine is kept covered so don't think I'll have to worry about scrubbing it for a while. This is my first vert and so far so good. Loving it.

Walmart lint roller. $2.50.

Also handy for removing dog hair from kids before they get in the car!

My Detailer applied Duragloss 341 Convertible Fabric Restorer to the top, which really cut down on those "fuzzies". Like others have mentioned, I also use a Lint Roller. I use the 3M one, and just one of them will last me for years!

This is more what I was looking for. Thanks for all the input on other ways to get it clean, but my question was if there's any way to cut down on them sticking so much in the first place.

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and best wishes for a Happy New Year!

I use the satin stretch car cover that has black inside lining, I still get some lint on the top, but it's not nearly as noticeable, I too occasionally use a lint brush.
