Well this is a new one to me.

I have tracked down our car as of last thurs. ( thank you spastic squirrel ), and our dealer called today to let us know that the car is supposed to come in on Friday ! Too bad we are on vacation for the next two weeks ... but here is the scary part, when he talked to me there was no problem, we can pick the car up when we get back. My wife called her from her Tahoe, and had pulled into the driveway and I was listening to the rest of her conversation ... he was telling her that the car would be ready, except for the stripes. Apparently there is a stripe shortage... she called

right then and there but he is sticking to his story .... when she said that I had called on Friday and was told that the #2 car was in already ( we are the #1 order at our dealer ) and was just getting it's stripes installed for delivery today ... he is claiming that this guy just doesn't know what he is talking about.

Has anyone else heard anything like this ???? We'll be driving our car in a couple of weeks reguardless, stripes or not, but this is just silly ....

I realize this is a bit off subject but don't announce, "No one will be at my house for two weeks". You never know who is watching.

You may have assumed no one will be at his house, He never said his house would be empty .

When we go on vacation our house is never empty some still has to feed the 110 lb german shepard

ah....... yeah...........ok.........to get back on topic and actually answer his question.......no.

per Camaro Scotty at least, there are no constraints on stripes (or shortage). if nothing else, just take delivery and get your stripes elsewhere......like Camaro Scotty!

or have them painted on.
