Do they offer any custom color or just the few that are on the website? Does anyone know the stock shift knob weight? The weights are posted on the site, but I have no number to compare it too.

Their Sphereology is 475 grams. I'm hoping they have another sale around black friday.

The sphereology knob is a little bit heavier than stock knob. The stock one does have some weight to it tho.

I installed this adapted to the Hurst short shifter in my LT a few months ago

Reviving this oldy...on a whim decided to order a custom Spherology in the translucent red for the ZLE. I really don't love the shape of the factory knob (or the alcantara for the track) and I had a Raceseng Ashiko in my STI that was great.

Going to be a month or so before I get it but I'll update with some pics when it comes in.

Well... its been a year since this thread was last revived, so here i am reviving it again

After reading around about these weighted shifters, and seeing people say it helps with the notchiness, which has always been my biggest gripe about the transmission, that 1-2 shift has always been more notchy than i like, so i am definitely excited to see how it feels first hand. So, earlier this week i decided to pull the trigger and got myself the Prolix shifter in red translucent... and i am in love! the color is amazing in person, what you see in their advertisement pics do justice, it really does look as beautiful in person as in photos, now i just need to get out of work and install this baby!

I havent yet removed the original knob, but i can already tell this one is WAY heavier, its supposed to be about 1.66 pounds if i remember right, but it honestly feels much heavier than that in hand. Soon as i install it, i'll post my experience before and after.

In the mean time, just look at this beauty!

Yes, about 2-3 times as heavy.

How do you separate the knob from the boot? I have a receseng shift knob but can't get the plastic ring to come the original boot

You have to pull the chrome ring down far enough to release it. Put a few plastic trim tools between the knob and the ring.

It took me a while to do it but it does come loose.

Just changed mine out last night.
