Hello, I'm from Argentina, sorry for the English language
camaro ss lt1 v8 auto8 2017 track mode .. sixth gear
My stock car registers 305 km / h at 6400 dash rpm (gps 294.44 km / h) with a slight tailwind and it is surely limited, since then I took a descent and kept the same speed ..

You must be running non-stock wheels/tires to have a ~3.6% difference between speedo and actual GPS speed. The latter corresponds to ~182 mph, which is a bit higher than what the limiter allows, did you see it for a few moments (with the tailwind) or for a longer time? Is the car tuned perhaps?

Awww, the beauty of MRC.

That is one thing that still impresses me about this car, even after 1.5 years of ownership. It feels just as good at 100+ as it does at 60MPH. So stable, so predicable. With most cars things get more intense as the speed increases, in the 1LE they stay constant no matter the speed increase.

It was about five runs if I remember, between one and 2.7 mile distance. It did 155 in one mile...

The limitation will be set at the OEM tire speed rating. So the 180 MPH posted earlier makes sense, since a Y rating of the OEM Good Year Super Car 3 is at 186 MPH. The manufacturer, GM, isn't going to allow the vehicle to exceed the maximum safety ratings of the equipment, this case the speed rating of a tire.

I got to 155 on a closed road in my 20 ss vert and the speed limiter kicked in. If I add a roll cage, etc I will have to look into a tuner but the advisor at my dealership says it will void the warranty. I guess I could return it to stock tune to bring in for warranty service.

The exact same tires (including sizes) are used on the Camaro ZL1 which can reach 198mph with stock alignment or a little faster with 0 camber: https://www.automoblog.net/2017-chev...ing-top-speed/.

The dealership can detect if you had a tune previously and removed it...not recommended if you want to keep your warranty.

'According to Oppenheiser, “If you’re not modifying your car and you take your production car to a track day and you have an issue with one of your parts, it’s covered under warranty. We know when somebody changes their ECM calibration, and we know if they changed to a cold-air intake, we can tell all that. But driving it as you break it in from the dealership, if you have a half-shaft or whatever, it’s covered.”'
