Just want to have it in my garage, safe and sound with all my Chevy memorabilia...

I feel your pain, no way a brand new car of this worth should be sitting outside day in and day out. Also doesn't make it better that the lots are known for having frequent break ins

That's what concerns me. Can you imagine having the car stolen and now you are back to square one? What happens then? When I ordered this at the end of December I figured I would have it just in time for the good weather.... the world is nuts right now. First world problems I guess....

The world is nuts right now, but not that nuts. GM is especially disfunctional. I have friends who ordered cars from other makers (including overseas FFS) that ordered later than me and received their cars months ago.

I'm the liability risk involved with customers picking up their own cars from the railyard or assembly plant would be minimal.

Heh. They can't manage the normal logistics. Imagine if they tried to implement a "customer pickup" option.

My car had a TPW of May 9th. Was offloaded from the train on June 6th in Jacksonville on its way to Orlando. Was told it would arrive in Orlando that night. It did not. Told Thursday the 9th it now has an eta of June 24th. So it’s going to be sitting in a lot less than 2 hours from me for almost 3 weeks. Wish I could go and pick it up myself.

I’d sure like to know how GM prioritizes shipment. My car was built two weeks before yours and hasn’t left lansing yet. Event code 4300, not waiting on anything but a train.

Mine was produced April 26th still at 3800, ours must be stuck in the back of a storage lot. Certainly thought I'd have it by late May early June.

At this rate people will probably get ‘23s before we get our ‘22s! LOL

I work for a dealership. my car was built 5/3, sitting in the lot waiting for transport. i signed paperwork this week to lock in the special offer financing and now I can track my car with the mychevy app. still sitting in the lot in Lansing waiting for a hauler to pick it up.... sucks.

My salesman says I can’t do paperwork until the car gets to the dealership, but I’d sure like to lock in financing! Do you know what I need to ask him for to get it done?

I don't know. it is uncommon to do this since I dont have an eta. I may have a payment come due before I actually have my new car.
