Opinions on Center Stripe Option

Did anyone go with the factory center stripe? Do you like it or regret your decision? I'm having trouble finding good pictures of this look. Dealership photos typically don't have the best angles to show off the stripe. I like the look in the configurator, but I'm not sure how well that will translate to the real world.

Also has anyone tried shadow gray with silver stripes/accents? I saw a few pictures of the nightfall gray with silver, and it looked good to me. I assume shadow grey will be similar but seeing some photos of it beforehand would ease my mind when it comes to placing an order.

Not the color combo you're looking at, but love my stripes. These are the Silver Ice Metallic Rally Stripes. Look more white from front and bright light, more silver from side or lower light.

Nice, that's a good look. I swear dealer photos never do justice to the stripes. Thanks for sharing.

In the Photos subforum there are several threads showing different stripes, as well as DIY stripe application.

I think the tapered stripes suck Big Time. You should go to a wrap shop and have them make the 2016-18 style non tapered Rally stripes.

Very few factory stripes look good and even then you'll be just like everyone else who optioned it. Better to get something custom from a local wrap shop.

To each their own, we all have our preferences which is part of what makes all of our vehicles unique, even when they are mostly stock. I personally like how it follows the high point/ridge of the hood bump. The overall effect on a Convertible back to the tonneau cover, etc. is nice as well in my opinion.

Mine is bubbling up around the hood vent. Fortunately, it is under warranty.

If it does it out of warranty, I'll just have the whole thing painted on.

My 2016 had a single stripe down the middle. For some reason the double stripes make me angry. Not sure why.

Asking people about stripes is like debating Chevy or Ford. It's about personalization of your car and what you like.
