Oil change price

I have a 2016 camaro ss. Dealer is putting in Mobil1 full synthetic and the oil change will cost around $100. Is something wrong here or is this price right?

I paid $125.00 for just the oil alone(Mobil1 ESP 5W30 - Dexos2 rated) from Amazon, 12-quart case.

FWIW....The DEALER retail on 2 qts of rear diff fluid.... $56.00

I think my Dealer is $100+ for an oil change with Mobil 1. That may be only 6 qts too.

$100 is probably not too bad, for the good stuff and ten qts.

You can get 5qt jugs of Mobil1 5W30 at Walmart for ~23 each + around $4-5 for the AC Delco filter. Mine typically takes 10.6 qt to get to the full line, so the total cost is around $60 after tax.

@ Kevin,
Just had Mobil 1 - full synthetic O&F at Chevy dealer last week and it was $99.95. Quote sounds about right. Small shops charge about $80 for M1. If you have the free oil changes (new car) from GM you would pay the difference from the standard semi-synthetic to Mobil full. It's about $50.

Cheaper than what I pay for to change it on my own. Getting 0W40 from amazon.

Yeah $100 for 5w30 Mobil1 Dexos is fine. Dealer's material cost is about $40, then there's labor, overhead, etc. DIY cost would be $50 for the oil and a PF64 filter.
