I will take some pics and post...used a part of an old tripod, mounting the camera on top, drilling a hole in the tripod rod and running the microUSB cable through it, then just slid down between the back of the seat, running the cable under the rug and up to front camera

I really wanted to do a motorized telescoping rod that I could mount it on so it would go down when car was turned off and I could use a remote control to raise it to wherever height I want...may still try to make something like that....still on the "that would be really cool to do" list

Wouldn’t that defeat the value of a parking security mode?

Good point....the issue is that the mount can only be a certain height to allow the convertible top clearance as it goes down and comes up. I cannot raise it any higher than it is without interfering with the top and the view gets a bit of trunk lid and spoiler. When driving with the top up or down, I would prefer it a bit higher to capture more behind me.....so that is why I wanted it to be able to go higher. So to that point, if I ever do it, I should have that retract with roof movement and then reposition itself higher when roof is in place (whether up or down)

I know the struggle. I settled for a solution that gives me okay but not great visibility out the back. Here’s my setup and what it sees out the back with the top up. So basically, in “parked” mode. I would be able to see faces of vandals, but not plates of vehicles that might bump it in the parking lot.

I made this out of 1/8 inch aluminum. Had it cut and bent, and then I painted it installed the camera. It is angled forward to give clearance to the top. I have a pretty good view out the back.

I mounted mine where the garage door buttons go (because I have a 1SS) and I can see fine. Only problem is, the fiber optic cable is too long and it’s all tucked inside the panel. I need a shorter cable.

Looking for help. It appears that there no options for an exhaust system or at least a cat-back exhaust system for the 6th gen convertibles, due to the bracing. If there is they are very limited. I have reached out to GIBSON performance and they told me that if I could find someone willing to go to their shop in Corona, California and let them try and fabricate an exhaust to fit the convertible, they would make one. So I thought to come here and ask. I have a contact, if there is anyone interested. I would just like to see more options for us convertible owners, a great exhaust with a more reasonable price. Thanks!

I have a friend in our Camaro Club who worked with MRT Performance in Pymouth, Michigan to develop a catback for 6th Gen convertibles. Looks great, sounds awesome. His car was basically the "proof of concept". If you are really interested, you can find MRT Performance on the net and talk with them. If you say you want the same setup that they did for "2Black" they will know exactly what you mean.

Actually, now that I think about it, I have to check with him to recall if it's a cat-back or an axle-back system.
