Lifter issues?

Just checking with everyone to see if anyone have heard of lifter failing on the LT4? I know I seen it talked about on the LT1, however was just curious if the LT4 is any different. I'm pushing my car pretty hard on stock components. Heads and cam will be done in the future but I do like how quiet my car is at the power level it's is. I hear ticking on start up and then go away once the car is warm. I also can hear it ticking when the car is coasting on deceleration. Slight ticking when im giving it Gas until it shift to the next gear, this seem to only happen in 1st or 2nd gear.. I have done headers and exhaust so its possible it could be exhaust leak as well but want to check if anyone have seen Lt4 lifter fail.

Yea, I had one seize in my OEM block last fall. I don't remember exactly which one.

Other than standard wear and tear, there was a short period of time in 2020 and 2021 models that had a bad batch of lifters. This affected the C8 Corvette Stingray and the ZL1.

I believe it was the #6 intake that seized up while I was burning in a set of MT. I didn't think I was asking too much of it at the time.

LME put Johnston High RPM Tie Bar Hyd. lifters in this motor, which they say is the highest quality lifter available

Does this sounds like a lifter issue to those of you who had experience lifter failure? Or do you think I am being paranoid over the sound of Direct injectors and HPFP? Everytime I watch a video of ticking noise, everyone said its the DI and HPFP. Does the ticking go away after it warms up if it's lifter failure?

I’ve read that headers can increase the sound depending on the wall thickness and brand. When did you notice the noise?

Definitely more noticeable after I did mod. I have done headers and my 2650 has a thinner lid too so could be a little of everything. The sound is noticeable on the driver side. Same as all the video I have seen. Car running very strong still.

These cars have a mild ticking sound from the factory from the injectors but when you add headers they get even noisier since headers are much thinner walled than the OEM manifolds. It's probably not a bad lifter.
