LME 390

I bought LME's 1200hp aluminum 390 with Katech oil pump, Cam motion 235/248 .640/630, 118+4, 38% fuel, billet valley cover, 61cc combustion chambers , 10.65 compression ratio.

They're going to freshen and install my heads. I don't know what new valve train parts will be added but pushrods for sure.

I was interested to hear that they do Hennessey's heads.

3 weeks delivery. All parts are in stock.

I now have an HPE 850 with custom heads and GM short block for sale.

Perfect choice, in my opinion. Large bore but stock stroke is mint for a high power PD blower setup.

Not surprising, since they're pretty close, and LME does good work.

Can't wait to see the numbers. Congrats'.

I believe mine is dead or dying, and I will find out in a few weeks.

I believe they are using a 4.070" bore with a 3.750" stroke to make their 390.

Ah…not as cool if true lol (but undoubtedly still a great engine).

Yes, 4.070 x 3.750. I prefer bore over stroke and asked about an even larger piston, which requires a different sleeve but with a six-month delivery.

As I said in my email, KaTech was my first choice, but the additional stroke in the 416 made me nervous, and your 390 parts were not in stock, but LME's are.

I wish I would have known mine was going to let go! It let me know ion the big end of a 9.5X run! My new motor ended up being a 388 from an iron L8T block. Going to the track this Sunday to see what kinda times it will run.

Did you get a chance to redyno with the new engine? Wish that L8T block wasn’t iron…but I’m sure it’s strong AF though.

I did... made 940RWHP same as the last motor but its only running about 16lbs of boost compared to my last motor that was running 20lbs. It is most def a tad heavier! I like the way the car sits lower in the front though! Made some easy hits on it with a 1.80 60 ft and it ran a 9.90 @ 147MPH The MPH makes me think it will run 9.5X maybe lower. Putting a 15 inch tire on the rear this winter to see if that helps. It really needs a 2650!

Well you’ve set the stage to make mondo power anyway. I think a Maggie 2650 or Whipple 3.0 is the key to feeding that bad boy (or twins lol).

My current motor makes 20-21# boost with a 2650 because cam and heads are not designed to flow that much cfm. I expect boost on this 390 to go down.
