Easy Entry Memory Issues

Hi Guys, I can't get the easy entry to work correctly. Exit works fine but when I start the car the seat won't return to the memory setting, I have to hold the button any fix for this?

The seat will auto-adjust when you start the engine or enter service mode.

This applies to the 6th gen, if you indeed have a 2015, I'm not sure it works the same way.

Plus, on the sixth gen at least, there are two settings - one for entry memory and one for exit memory. It could be that the entry memory got toggled off?

I guess try going through the whole setting procedure again? Maybe through some accidental button pushes the exit position got saved as your entry position?

No, I've been using the same fob. my driving seat memory is saved and exit works fine. I need to hold the memory button after I start the car to bring it back to driving position.

The way this is supposed to work when easy entry/exit options (named "auto memory recall" and "easy exit recall" in my 2018 infotainment) are enabled is that depending on which fob you have on you, the seat moves to the #1 or #2 saved position as soon as you start the engine.

This will not happen if you have and use fob #3 (or higher), or if you did not save a position for the fob you are using, or if the transmission is not in Park (which is very unlikely).

Also, if you have two or more fobs on you, the seat will move to the most recently used position, that is, the one associated with the single fob you used last.

What I would do at this point is disconnect the battery for a night, reconnect it, re-save the positions including the exit position, then make sure the auto recall settings are correct, then try this again. If it still doesn't work, I'd take the car in.

If you don't have the parking brake set when you start the car again auto memory will not work you will have to manually hit the button. So set the parking brake every time you exit.

NOTE: The entry and exit positions are set based on the keyfob used. So if you have 2 keyfobs you'll have to program both.

There are 3 settings.

Entry 1
Entry 2
Exit Position

To Set:

Adjust the seat where you like: Press Set then hold Entry 1 wait for the double beep. Rinse and repeat for Entry 2, and Exit positions

Make sure the car is running when you set Entry 1, 2, and Exit positions

After setting: Turn the car off. Car should automatically go to exit position.

Now Turn the car back on: Car should automatically go to Entry Position 1

Lastly, Check your in car settings on the Touch Screen, and make sure memory seat function is enabled. There is also a setting for mirrors as well.

This is also not required for Automatics.
