This dealership is asking about $15K less than I paid for my new ZL1 for a 2021 LT1. I'm not sure it will sell for that amount, but if the dealerships think that they can get that kind of money out of a used Camaro, I say let them do them. https://www.mksmithchevrolet.com/inv...f1r75m0121930/ And I have bought and traded in about 6 vehicles since Covid started and each time am pleasantly surprised with my trade-in values. I went a full 5 months with a 2021 Nissan Titan and my trade-in amount on it was about $2000 less than what I paid for it new. |

Car will be back from the dealer by Monday, they’re only waiting on protection film for the rocker panel apparently.

Lol, umm yes indeed help... In all fairness, it started with a cash truck that I bought, as I needed something to make my house ready for the market. The cash truck was great except for the smell one might describe as urine. Traded it plus my 2nd vehicle (a Kia that I used for Uber duty) for a 2020 Nissan Titan. It was a great truck but it had a few issues that were not due to the manufacturer (dealer put a scratch on the rear panel when their tech tried to replace a taillamp). They said they could repaint it, but who wants to repaint a new vehicle? Traded it in when I was offered a 2021 with a few more features for about $2000 more than the 2020. After I sold my house, I felt like the truck was more than I needed at the time, and having two V8s that needed premium fuel (the Titan didn't require it, but for best performance it suggested it) seemed like overkill. So I traded the Titan in for a Nissan Leaf (figure a V8 alongside an EV was a good balance). Then fast forward to December when I started thinking that while I loved my SS sedan, I really wanted a manual transmission. I looked at all the options, even considered a Miata but I did not want the prospects of owning 3 cars. So I sacrificed the SS sedan and picked up the ZL1. I think I've finally got the right combination, although who knows if I get bored, I'll trade both in for a Silverado EV.... I told you I may have a car buying problem, right?!?! Oh, and to wit, I purchased an Owl Cam for the Camaro, but so far I'm not impressed as the signal goes in and out. What use is a dashcam that touts its security features if it's constantly offline? |

Same here, some back road fun after taking my son to an afternoon school function. Man, what a freaking awesome car (but I won't get started here again, haha), only problem is how well it hides speed and how quickly it ramps up to _____. Waiting for the weekend to give her a wash.

Went driving. Went WOT a few times. I think a Demon wanted to run with me, (only because I heard them beep and go WOT), but I don't know if they stayed in it or went in reverse, honestly, because they just became a rear-view image. It always seems like a wild, sublime and somewhat scary new feeling every time. I love it!

For reference, in 2020 I went to a Nissan dealership in my SS Sedan. The dealership thought I was trading it in, so started asking about it. They were shocked that it was 5 years old. I told them my secret was to keep it away from automated car washes and foam cannon soap. The amount of foam my system generated looked insane (2nd pic). |

On a few occasions, Amazon would have Chemical Guys "Maxi Suds" on sale. I bought a couple of gallons of the stuff. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The foam cannon that I used to make my truck look like it was snowed on was this guy https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The spotless rinse, absolutely a must in a hot climate. Before I bought it, I had to act fast to remove the ridiculously hard water spots from forming in the hot Texas sun. The resin gets a little expensive at about $100 for only a season and a half of use, but I don't mind paying a little extra if it means I'm not at the carwash with all the knuckleheads that think everyone wants to listen to the music they are listening to. The results were always great until it was time to replace the resin. Below were the pre and post I didn't do any drying. |
