Was just about to say this. No problem with changing parts, costmetic or drivetrain with other models, but just don't badge it as something it isn't.

I've seen V6s doing SS emblems, SS doing ZL1 emblems.

Just the other day I saw a V6 mustang complete with GT500 vinyls, emblems, wheels, bodykit, hood, spoiler, everything to make it a GT500 on the outside. Even had a Personal plate that said "ZL1 LOL" The only way I knew it wasn't was by looking at the brakes, and the fact it sounded like a prius....

Wanted to say, "Well mine isnt a ZL1 so you should stomp it"

I never fully understood the rationale behind cloning. Its ok to upgrade parts from higher end models (I've done this), but the line is crossed when you add badges and attempt to fool others about the car.

In addition, there should be plenty of 'SS cars new and used available. Why not trade up or try to find a good deal on one?

How big a poser do you have to be to put Porsche emblems and lettering all over your Mitsubishi Eclipse?
