Camaro as a “brand”
Car and Driver posted an article that GM will be making the Camaro a brand and will consist of three vehicles. A 2+2 electric sports car, a “sporty” crossover, and a vehicle similar to a Corvette with a different look and design. The Corvette car sounds interesting but not so excited about the others.

Sounds like similar crap to Ford ruining the Mustang name with their Mustang E.

They are also going to have an “Escalade” and “corvette” brand. Because Porsche and Ferrari are releasing suvs and crossovers. I think they don’t realize that Porsche and Ferrari are indeed already brands and not car models.
I think it shows the failure of the Chevrolet and Cadillac brands as models within the lineup are commanding more respect and notoriety than the brand itself. |
