ACS Canards for SS

Has anyone purchased them? I just ordered them from Phastek, figured i'd give them a shot. If anyone else has them, would like to see more pics and know how they feel about them.

Thanks
Joe

I agree. It looks like part of it attaches into the front marker lights. Going to give them a shot since I think they look pretty cool. I'll post pics after painted and installed.

They have a much cleaner and potentially OEM-like look to them so, they are already a step ahead of the competition. I hope someone gets them and posts a review, soon.

Just got them delievered

Seem like good quality. Directions look horrible but i'm sure i'll figure it out. I ordered them primed but they sure look painted to me. I'm not sure if they are the right shade of black and I have a new splitter that needs to be painted so I may repaint them if need be. Here are some pics.

Ok a couple things....

Brought these home and I initially thought from the pics online that the upper part fit in the front side marker light but it doesn't. So in addition to tape, installing these requires u to drill 5 holes for each canard, 3 on the lower front bumper and 2 on the side near the marker light. I'm not to thrilled at the thought of drilling holes in my bumper though.

The bigger concern I have is that the 5 holes are for pop rivets. Now those are simple enough but I have no idea how I'm going to get the rivets through the holes and more importantly get the rivet tool over the tip to fasten it due to the angle of the canard. See pics.

And from what I can see these pop rivets aren't installed from the inside of the bumper out, which would be easier but is going to require removal of the bumper.

Thoughts?

So the second pic may show it better, the pop rivet is in the hole but the other end is hitting the canard. Sure I'm sure I could bend the rivet a bit and get it in, but once in, I don't think I can get the rivet tool over the post and flush with the canard due to the acute angle between the two surfaces. Am I making any sense?

After fiddling with these for a few minutes, unless there is a rivet tool with a long narrow head, the one I have isn't going to work and get the rivet tight up against the back of the canard and tight up against the car. I almost think a flat head screw would work way better.

zl1 addons you don't drill into the bumper, just to tiny holes in the led shroud. Good luck.

You need to push the pop rivet until the flange is flush with the canard to see the true tooling clearance you have. You may need to install the pop rivet with the tool already on it, if that makes sense, to deal with tighter clearances. Also, you can bend the part that gets pulled a small amount and the tool will still work. Does that make sense?

Just as a side note, There was a hole on my ACS side skirts that was basically impossible to install a rivet on, so it may not actually be possible.
